Meet Kim & Katie

Hi.  We’re Kim Soskin (photo to right) and Katie Harhen (photo below).  We started Heartway StoryDolls because we believe that women always need a time and place to rejuvenate themselves creatively.  We were thoroughly delighted with we discovered that making Storydolls was a perfect way to do that, and we want to share what we’ve found with you.

We met over twenty years ago when we worked together at the same corporation in San Francisco.  We found that we both loved art and craft making, particularly weaving and textiles, although we didn’t have much time for those things at that job.

We went our separate ways as people do, working at other jobs, getting married, and raising children.  Then, five years ago, Katie moved three blocks away from Kim, and we got back in touch.  And now, we’re working together again, only this time, we’re playing with dolls.  Which quite frankly, we think is quite an improvement.
